Safe use of Ride-On Self Propelled Mowers

Overview:

This 2 day course aims to allow current and potential delegate to gain the industry-wide and accepted NPTC accreditation with an integrated assessment to confirm safety and competence in the use of Ride-On Self Propelled Mowers.

Course Content

Set Up, Use and maintain Ride-On Powered Equipment
Carry out risk assessment, work safely and minimise environmental damage
Health & Safety Legislation and environmental good practice
PPE
Key features of equipment being used
Use and Maintain Ride on Powered Equipment
Control & Instruments relating to Equipment
Check & Maintain Equipment
Adjust cutting units.

Course Requirements

You are required to provide your own Machinery, Tools & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this training course. You must have a manufacturer’s instruction book for the equipment being used for training on the day. All equipment being used for this assessment must comply with the relevant requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Safety boots
Ear defenders
Head protection (essential where a safety cab is not fitted)
Face/eye protection
Suitable hand protection worn during operation
We also recommend you dress appropriately for weather conditions.

On site delivery:

The course will require a suitable classroom for theoretical delivery
Please note that the training site and equipment must be compliant with Health and Safety standards.
