ATV sit-in or sit-on all terrain vehicle
Overview
This ATV sit-in or sit-on all terrain vehicle course aims to provide the learned with the knowledge, skills and understanding to ride or drive their ATV safely in the work place. The qualification covers pre-use checks, instrument and control recognition, safe driving and maneuvering the vehicle on various types of terrain including slopes.
Course Content:
- Hazards specific to the site, task & machine
- ATV functions and controls
- Pre-use checks to the ATV
- Legal and safety requirements
- Factors to be considered when operating an ATV on various terrain
- Cleaning and inspection of the ATV
- Operate an ATV that is laden, has an implement attached on various terrain
- Operate an ATV with a trailer or trailed implement attached including reversing.
Course Requirements
You are required to provide your own Tools & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this training course.
ATV vehicle must comply with the Department of Transport and Road Traffic Acts where relevant with manufacturers book/operators manual. Equipment must comply with the relevant requirements of PUWER 1998.
